Plant Engineer

Job Responsibilities and duties

- Planning, directing, and coordinating maintenance activities of equipment and machinery in industrial plants
- Management of maintenance personnel and collaboration with production departments
- Planning, directing, and coordinating the design, construction purchase, modification, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and services
- Propose, plan, design, and implement all machine efficiency improvement and downtime optimization projects
- Propose, select, and prepare bids and contracts for construction and acquisition of facilities. Test new machines and equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract specifications. Follow-up on defects
- Solve performance problems and ensure continuous improvement of processes and capacity
- Administer all technical documentation for equipment, services, maintenance, and construction according to quality requirements
- Validate all performance and prepare required documents for new installation and procedures
- Ensure equipment availability by preparing an efficient schedule for maintenance of machines and utilities to reduce all downtime (preventive maintenance)
- Solve all maintenance problems and propose improvements
- Maintain an efficient, positive, peaceful, and safe working environment for all employees
- Provide an efficient interface for all departments
- Contribute to the growth of the company through a successful team

Requirements

- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Maintenance team management skills
- Strong technical knowledge
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
- Ability to prioritize and plan effectively
- Ability to interface with a variety of technical issues, from mechanical, electrical, and automation (planning and coordinating)
- Master's degree in mechanical / electrical / chemical engineering
- At least 5 years of experience preferably in the food supplement / pharmaceutical industry
- Good written and spoken English
